Kitchen Design in Miami, FL
Every Acacia kitchen project starts with design — and we include it for free. Before we build a single cabinet or cut a single piece of wood, you’ll see your new kitchen in photorealistic 3D. That means no surprises, no changes mid-installation, and no paying for a kitchen you didn’t expect.
What Our Kitchen Design Service Includes
- Free in-home measurement — A designer visits your Miami home and takes precise measurements of your kitchen space, including ceiling height, window and door locations, plumbing and electrical positions, and any architectural features
- Space planning and layout redesign — We analyze your current layout and present alternatives if your kitchen could work better differently. Galley to L-shape, peninsula to island — we’ll show you the options.
- Full 3D design rendering — Photorealistic 3D views of your finished kitchen from multiple angles. You see the cabinet doors, hardware, countertop, lighting, and colors before anything is fabricated.
- Itemized quote — Every design comes with a detailed line-item quote. You know exactly what you’re paying for before signing anything.
- Revision rounds — Not happy with the layout or finish? We revise until it’s right. The design is approved before fabrication begins.
Our Kitchen Design Process
Step 1 — In-Home Consultation
We come to your Miami home — typically within 48 hours of your request. We measure the space, photograph it, and spend time understanding how you cook, how many people use the kitchen, what storage you need, and what you love and hate about your current kitchen. This conversation shapes the entire design.
Step 2 — Design Presentation
We return with a full 3D design based on your consultation. You’ll see your kitchen from multiple angles — looking in from the doorway, from the island looking toward the range, cabinet door details and hardware. We walk you through every decision in the design.
Step 3 — Refinement
This is where most kitchens get finalized. Swap out a cabinet door style, try a different countertop color, move the island 6 inches. We revise the design until you’re confident it’s exactly what you want.
Step 4 — Fabrication and Installation
Once you approve the design and sign off on the quote, we schedule fabrication. Your cabinets are built in our Doral shop to the approved specifications, then installed by our crew. The 3D design becomes the build spec — what you approved is what gets built.
Kitchen Layout Types We Design
- Galley kitchens — Common in Miami condos and older homes. We maximize efficiency in narrow linear layouts with smart storage and sometimes the removal of a wall if structurally possible.
- L-shape kitchens — The most common layout in Miami-Dade single-family homes. We optimize the corner with lazy susans, pull-out cabinets, or blind corner solutions.
- U-shape kitchens — Maximum storage and counter space. Great for larger kitchens in Coral Gables and Pinecrest homes.
- Open-plan with island — The most requested renovation in Miami right now. We design the island size, seating configuration, and storage to work with your specific floor plan.
Kitchen Design for Miami Homes
South Florida homes have specific design considerations that a local designer understands intuitively. High humidity means cabinet construction matters — we spec plywood boxes, not particleboard. The coastal aesthetic means bright, light-reflective finishes tend to dominate. Open-plan layouts that flow to outdoor entertaining areas are the norm in Miami-Dade. We design for how people actually live here.
Frequently Asked Questions — Kitchen Design in Miami
Is the kitchen design really free?
Yes. We don’t charge for the initial design, 3D rendering, or the first round of revisions. The design is included as part of every kitchen cabinet or remodeling project. We don’t offer standalone paid design services — our design work leads to fabrication and installation.
How long does the design process take?
We typically present your first 3D design within 5–7 business days of the in-home measurement. Revisions take 2–3 business days each. Most kitchens are design-approved within 2–3 weeks of the initial consultation.
What software do you use for 3D renderings?
We use professional cabinet design software that produces photorealistic renderings. The same software generates the cut list for our fabrication team, so the design file is the production file — no translation errors between what you approved and what gets built.
Can I bring my own design or inspiration photos?
Absolutely. We start every consultation with an inspiration review. Bring photos from Houzz, Pinterest, Instagram, or anywhere else — they help us understand your style more quickly than any questionnaire.
